I was absolutely blown away by my experience at Rumi, the Persian restaurant! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for diving into authentic Persian flavours. Every dish was a true explosion of taste and tradition, made with fresh ingredients and clear attention to detail. The beef ribs were particularly fantastic tender, juicy, and full of flavour, they just melted in my mouth with every bite. That dish alone made the whole meal worth it! Plus, our waitress Jennifer was really professional, friendly, and attentive to every detail, making the service spot on. I’d definitely recommend Rumi to anyone wanting to discover or rediscover Persian cuisine at its best. I’ll be back for sure! ~ Giorgio L

Could not fault even if I wanted to. I ordered the Prime Ribeye Steak and my partner ordered the Lamb Shank. To start off, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the music absolutely soothing, customer service was charming and elegant. The food was quick to come and the flavours completely blow you away. The lamb shank melts by the touch, the ribeye steak was cooked and flavoured to absolute perfection. If I could rate this place any higher I would. Our chefs was a young man by the name of William. I highly recommend this place on your next visit to Gold Coast. The boss was also very friendly, welcoming and easily approachable. Unexpectedly exceptional 👌 We weren't going to Rumi, but Figo turned us away and as we walked past the guys were super nice, chatted to the kids asked what they like to eat, and committed to giving it to them! So kids had pasta and nuggets which were both reallt nice, pasta tasted home made and chicken in the nuggets tasted like lean breast. We got the Mixed Grill Plate, and seriously has to have been one of the best ive ever had, the chicken was exceptional, cooked and flavour and the beef and lamb id eat every night! Our waiter was also great, he was engaging with the kids, always monitoring so had drinks topped up real time and plates cleared as they were done. All staff were friendly and attentive. We will go back here before our holiday finishes for another dinner over trying out new places, knowing it's a definite 5/5 feed. ~ Daniel N

We arrived tonight at 8.50pm and the kitchen+ resturant was already about to be closed. We still were welcomed very warm. There's something to be said for an owner who doesn't push product on you, nor overdoes the sales routines, instead just relies upon his product to get you coming back again. This is in my opinion the best persian resturant in Gold Coast. I've only ever seen them smashing out great food without too much fuss or concern, and with a great attitude to boot. Beautiful fresh ingredients used and it makes the end result so mouth watering. Rumi is always a must try on our list of places to taste!! We ate at this restaurant three times in 9 days while on the Gold Coast in February 2021. Given that eating out on the Gold Coast is quite expensive when compared to Melbourne, this place is no different. However, the quality of the food is exceptional and is worth EVERY cent you spend on it. You will not find a place to dine at on the Gold Coast that has better quality food than Rumi. The meat and chicken were skin and fat free, everything was cooked to perfection and the service from the wait staff was top notch. I will return there time and time again because after frequenting the Gold Coast every year since 2000,I can say with a fair bit of confidence that this is one of the best places to eat at. The Gold Coast has plenty of places with poor quality overpriced "food" but this place has set the bar so high. ~ hqman74

The food is really tasty, I've grown up eating kebabs made on fire so know good meat. If you're after healthy eating / not oily or have some expectations regarding taste or spices - this is Persian / middle eastern cuisine and changing it to specific tastes means that it won't be authentic anymore. Music is nice. Portions are generous and value for money. It's BYO which is also good. Highly recommended! Some room for improvement though which didn't really affect our experience: - have a bell or something at the door, we went on a quiet night and there was nobody to greet us, the only waitress on the floor didn't see us and was taking orders from other patrons - advertise more clearly that they are BYO. - advertised as kid friendly on Trip advisor, would be good to have something for them to keep them quiet. ~ L G

I had the experience of dining at this restaurant tonight and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff were friendly, attentive and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Now let's talk about the food! The menu offered a wide variety of options, all of which sounded delicious. I ended up ordering the KING meal and it was hands down one of the best meals I have ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced and every bite was pure bliss. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. If you're looking for a place with amazing food, great service and a cozy atmosphere, then look no further. This place has it all! ~ Rose s

Recently, we ordered dinner from Rumi restaurant for a family gathering at home (my wedding). It was a lovely end to a special day. We wanted catered food that everyone could enjoy (my family, like all families, has people of various ages and backgrounds) like an exceptional home cooked meal without being cooked at home. The food arrived at the right time, each meal hot and fresh and beautifully presented. We were talking and laughing and eating, and the food contributed to the open and social atmosphere, many getting up for seconds and third portions of food. We were greeting immediately on arrival by two very friendly staff members. They let my children pick what table to eat at which made their night. The food was amazing and served very quickly. Whilst the prices aren't overly cheap the portions are large and the quality amazing. Everything was delicious. We got the share platter for 2 to share between 4 of us and the dips share platter. It was more than enough to feed us. The only thing I would say is with the dips share platter is you only get 4 pieces of bread but a lot of each dip which seemed a bit wasteful. The humus is one of the best I've ever tasted. If you have never been before do yourself a flavour and dine at Rumi. ~ Kirstie B

This persian restaurnt is situated in the heart of broadbeach, its very mordern with a traditional feel. The food is so amazing. We ordered cocktails firstx they where a little too sweet but ok. For a entree we shared vine leave. Iv never had then when there hot like this, super Fresh. The pomegranate and cucumber yoghurt was amazing. The chicken thigh was so tender when i cut it was so soft i thought it was under cooked. I was highly wrong it was cooked to perfection so juicy and tender! It was well seasoned, it had a good amount of rice an sald, and a roased chilli and tomato, The staff where welcoming and very attentive. Would highly reccomend this restaurant. ~ lara R

Wow. We arrived early on Saturday afternoon with 4 adults/4 kids and our experience couldn't have been better. The service was outstanding with the waitress trying to keep everyone comfortable. We ordered yoghurt dips and bread and 3 shared platters and absolutely every single thing on there was spot on. The meat tender and full of flavour, the rice sprinkled with pomegranates lovely and the sauces are clearly home-made. We loved the Persian bread too. I must admit that portion size for the bread with dip was smallish. The wine was fantastic too. The Gold Coast has a huge variety on offer when it come to dining - but we'll be back for Rumi. We had dinner at Rumi on a Tuesday night at 8pm and were very impressed by their hospitality, customer service and quality of their food. We ordered an entree (grilled eggplant mezze) and two mains (grilled chicken skewer plate) and found it to be more than enough as their portion sizes are super generous. On top of that, there were a lot of nice touches to the dish such as a small serving of chips, grilled vegetables and a dip. Food came out on time & staff were very friendly and prompt in attending to our needs. The decor and ambience was spot on. So glad we chose this restaurant over another restaurant with Persian cuisine in the area. Thanks guys :) ~ Busra A

This restaurant is awsome in everything ,staff,food,quality and... I've tried all persian restaurants in Melbourne and one other more in goldcoast but none of them was like this that's why I only eat persian food in this restaurant when staying in Goldcoast . I also tried their coffee today for the first time and I would say one of the best coffee I've ever had ,the temperature and taste and smell were excatly what you want for your coffee to enjoy and forget about anything else .as some one who is very fussy to prepare food and always check foods ingredients to make sure it's clean and healthy and rarely eat out I would give 10 out of 10 to this restaurant. Spend money in restaurants in which they care about your health and respect you!!Will absolutely back to this place while I am staying in goaldcoast .try this restaurant you won't regret !! ~ Mojdeh B

Great Persian Food (I am Persian.) We had the two person mix grill, which was enough for three people (if you get extra rice). The lamb steak kabob (medium) was the best we've ever had. The ground lamb was great. The chicken needs their sauce, which means that they need to either marinate it longer, use a more tasty marinate or both. It came with one small (and tasty) salad(!) and french fries(!). I'd look into replacing the fries with rice (I am Persian, after all) and possibly adding another side salad (it is supposed to be for two people, right?). The kashk-e-bademjoon (sp?) was different from any we've ever had, so we won't be ordering it again. But you might like it. It comes with their very tasty homemade bread. There were several other Persian people there... I'd go back there again. They serve beer and wine (that we could tell). They might also serve mixed drinks. ~ Sam E

We were greeted with a friendly smile and were quickly seated outside by a gas heater. The atmosphere was friendly and cosy with the staff being fully attentive without being intrusive.. the service and atmosphere was excellent. But it doesn't end there.. the wine list had a good selection of wines by the glass which I always appreciate and the food was delicious. We had the share platter for 2.. chicken, lamb & mince sausage were all perfectly spiced, crisp fresh salad, chargrilled tomatoes & peppers, served with rice & bread. All consumed with enjoyment by my sister and I. It was a perfect simple balanced meal .. served without any fussiness, just letting the food speak for itself. This is not a high-end white linen restaurant but if you are looking for good quality, unfussy fresh food served by calm friendly & experienced staff then you should try Rumi's. We went to Rumi Restaurant for lunch. We ordered Kash-e-Bademjan, minced kebab, and lamb shank with shevid polo. The restaurant was really nice and classy, with beautiful decoration. The food was served in elegant dishes and looked amazing. Everything was delicious, generous in portion, and of great quality — we couldn’t even finish it all! The only thing I wasn’t completely happy with was that they didn’t serve both meals at the same time: they brought mine first and my wife’s about 10 minutes later. But this didn’t change my mind about giving them 5 stars. I highly recommend Rumi Restaurant to anyone interested in Persian cuisine. ~ Pooya r

A month later🤗 I had Dolmah and Fesenjoon today😋 I had warm Dolmah the first time😳 It’s quite good🥰 With sauce and lemon was very nice👍🏻 I wanted to have a glass of chilly white wine 😁 Fesenjoon was interesting flavor 😍 It’s not that spice spice… It’s not nutty nutty… With pickled veggies was nice👍🏻 The food is nice balance each dish, don’t get bored till the end 😋 I’d love to try more of their dishes 🥳🥳 Lovely service, surprised ‼️waitress remembers me 🥰 It’s my first time for my lunch😋 I had Chicken wings (bal kabab) and Mined lamb (koobideh). The chicken was just right with lemon and sauce🤩🤩🤩🤩 I wished I could have it with beer🤣🍺 Koobideh looked so delicious 🤩 And tasted so good and fresh 🥳🥳🥳 They were just a little bit expensive for me but they were worth it 😁👍🏻 Service was great too. I was getting concerned that most of my resent reviews were negative, but this one was an easy 5 star and it really deserved every single one of them. It was the best Persian food I have had in long time. Coming from Melbourne, I was thinking the Persian restaurants we have there are the best, but Rumi gladely proved me wrong. The food had a very good quality, a fabulous presentation and great and authentic taste. Big congratulations to the management for running such a great place and most importantly to keep the quality since our last visit. Big well done and looking forward to come back next time. ~ Payam

I was surprised when some people commented about the amount of food and the price. The portion is huge and the price is cheap for a luxury Resturant in a tourist city. I believe those people shouldn’t come to a 5 star restaurant like Rumi. My suggestion for them is TAKE AWAY. Staff are great specially Amir which I can name him Happy Man as he is extremely professional in hospitality. Actually today I had this opportunity to talk to Meysam the business owner. He is professional in all specs in his business. Highly recommended to all people who are looking for a tasty food with fresh ingredients, great atmosphere and professional staff. ~ Reza F

The best Persian restaurant I have ever been to. Much better food and presentation than any restaurant I have been to altogether. Food is fresh and delicious. There are several ambiances in the restaurant that cater to different types of people/ages. An indoor area, outdoor, tents, etc. For those who have never been to a Persian restaurant, think more of this as a steak and stew house. The best steak you'll ever have is the kebab barg which is made with fillet mignon and the dizi which is an amazing stew. Their prices are very reasonable and the best part is that they're BYO which reduces the burden on the visitor. I have been there 3 times so far and plan to go again soon to try the other items. I've been getting to know the owner who is very friendly and puts his heart and soul into the food. Lastly, the restaurant is a couple of private shisha areas for hanging out and having a smoke. They're also about to change the menu which will allow for even more affordable prices. ~ Farid S

We ate at Rumi for our last night on the Gold Coast and our whole group agreed that it was the best meal of the holiday. The service was great - from making the booking, being seated, and then to ordering and being served - and the atmosphere was awesome. A couple of our dishes came out missing sides or with sides swapped out, but there was so much delicious food that we all shared around and still couldn't finish everything. Particular standouts were the eggplant dip, the bone marrow, and the beef ribs. We would definitely all make the effort to come back to Rumi on our next GC trip ~ Tammy L

Amazing amazing amazing We visited the place back in August with the family and we promised we will be visiting again coming from Brisbane:) Now that our wedding anniversary is coming up next month we will be driving from Brisbane just to celebrate at Rumi Amazing food and service We came without booking and they still welcomed us ( 14 people ) We met Mr Rumi friendly and welcoming gentleman. Once again thank you for welcoming the big family back then and can’t wait to see you and have the mixed grilled plate again with the amazing tea next month. ( this time I sure pre booked ) ~ Aula G

So last night dinner at Rumi was so great my wife agreed to go back again to try some different dishes and the result again was as a great experience so most likely will repeat again tomorrow as would be the last night for us at Broadbeach Dinner was barramundi and king prawns, it was great by the Chef doing pairing such a great quality seafood with speciality rice one with saffronand other with dry dill, sauce, pickled garlic and salad. Just a little advice don't skip the saffron icecream at Rumi. About the working time there we had a smile from everyone there more than just once. ~ Walid K
